# Query Contacts (Abbreviated)

> Returns the contacts that match the conditions in the request body. To see which options can be sent, use the Get Contact Query Options endpoint. Each contact is returned in abbreviated form; use the Query Contacts (Full) endpoint if you need full contact details. If you are going to consistently query for new or updated contacts, don't. Use a webhook instead. If requests are timing out, you may be asking for too many items at once. The max take is 1,000.
