# Search Contacts

> Returns the contacts that match, fully or partially, the search term in the request body. The search covers names, email addresses, and other identifying details, so it is a good fit for type-ahead lookups. For structured filtering on specific fields, use the Query Contacts endpoint instead. Use skip and take to page through the results.
