# Query Gift Designations

> Returns gifts broken out by designation, so a gift split across several projects is returned once per project. To see which options can be sent, use the Get Gift Designation Query Options endpoint. You can sort by Id, Amount, GiftDate, ReceiptDate and Batch. If requests are timing out, you may be asking for too many items at once. The max take is 1,000.
