The Partner Program is built on a simple conviction: **generosity thrives in community**. We invest in a vibrant ecosystem of partners who bring deep expertise, trusted relationships, and a shared passion for helping nonprofits grow. Our partners aren't a channel — they're an extension of our team and an essential part of delivering responsive generosity at scale. The more connected our ecosystem becomes, the more value we can deliver to nonprofits — and the greater opportunity we have to grow together. ## What partnership looks like at Virtuous Our commitment to partnership is grounded in three things: | Commitment | What it means | | ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **Expand reach** | We spotlight and co-market with partners who serve the nonprofit sector with excellence — together, we reach more nonprofits who need responsive tools | | **Increase impact** | We support integrations, referrals, and services that help nonprofits succeed in their missions | | **Build trust** | We operate with integrity, share honest feedback, and are intentional about who we engage and how we work together | Partnership is a two-way street. We invest in partners who invest in us — and that looks different depending on the partner type. Some partners serve as referral engines or service providers; others fill critical gaps with technology and tools that complement Virtuous. Every relationship is real and worth investing in. ## Who our partners are The Virtuous ecosystem includes three broad partner types: | Type | What they do | | ------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Technology & Integration Partners** | Build and maintain integrations that extend Virtuous through APIs, syncing data and workflows between Virtuous and other tools nonprofits rely on | | **Service & Agency Partners** | Fundraising consultants, creative agencies, data experts, and donor engagement strategists who help nonprofits execute on responsive fundraising | | **Service & Implementation (S+I) Partners** | Specialists in onboarding, data migration, and product training who deliver implementations of Virtuous to nonprofits | See [Partner Types and Tiers](/virtuous/partners/partner-types-and-tiers) for the full breakdown of what each partner type does and how they engage with Virtuous and our customers. ## What partners get from the program Whether you're a technology partner building an integration, an agency helping nonprofits with strategy, or an implementation partner delivering data migration services, the Partner Program offers: * **The Partner Portal** — your hub for resources, requests, and program updates * **Virtuous Academy** — product training and certifications that prepare your team to support Virtuous customers * **Marketplace listing** — visibility to nonprofits actively seeking partners and integrations * **Co-marketing opportunities** — joint content, webinars, spotlights, and other ways to reach the responsive fundraising community * **A referral pathway** — programs and processes for sending leads to Virtuous (and vice versa) * **Direct support** — a Partner Manager who knows your business and connects you with the right people at Virtuous For the specific resources available, see [Partner Resources](/virtuous/partners/partner-resources). ## The two paths into the program Most partners join the program in one of two ways: | Path | How it works | | ------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Apply through the Partner Portal** | The self-service path — submit an application, our team reviews for fit, and approved partners receive welcome resources and onboarding | | **Direct outreach from Virtuous** | When we identify a strong fit based on customer demand, ecosystem alignment, or strategic opportunity, our team reaches out to start the conversation | Both paths lead to the same program — the difference is just how the conversation starts.
