Campaign planning

A campaign is the top-level initiative. It breaks into communications (channels) and then segments (recipient groups). The segment is the link back to giving — every gift carries a SEGMENT_KEY that traces it to the campaign that solicited it.

Outreach channels

Campaigns deliver outreach through two primary channels — email and events. Both connect back to contacts, and contact engagement ultimately drives giving.
